SkySafari Pro for iPad won't load _it tries and goes black. Have deleted and downloaded again twice but same problem. What needs to be done?

Keiron Smith replies:

Hi Walter,

Please use iTunes File Sharing to:

1. Copy the [CurrentSettings].skyset file to your computer. Rename it Bad.skyset to keep track of it.
2. Delete the original file from the device.
3. Now try restarting.

If that works please send the Bad.skyset file to us for analysis.

Ticket update:

Hi Keiron,

Have tried what you ask but no joy. Its got something to do with the “rate now or later “ Notification I think. Enclosed file as requested hope you can see the glitch.

Keiron Smith replies:

Keiron Smith replies:

Hi Walter,

1. Is anything non-standard about the device; i.e. running a jailbroken version of iOS?
2. Are you running any anti-virus?
3. Delete the app again, and make sure you have enough disk space; i.e more than enough to complete the download.

Ticket update:

No nothing I can think of. The program ran fine from the date I purchased it which was weeks ago. I am sure it has to do with the “rate now alert” Possibly I hit the “Not now later “ alert a bit quick and it has got stuck on the at page which immediately turns black and won’t load. The page does not stay long enough for me to hit any of the alert.
I will try to delete and download again. SSPro 5 was working well. the only thing i can remember was downloading a Skype update.
I shall delete that as well and try again.
Aye, Walter

Ticket update:

Hi Keiron,

I have just done a full reset and all is working again. I have no idea what got corrupted but I suggest a pause in the software at the alert page for rating either before or after might help.

Kind regards, Aye, Walter

Keiron Smith replies:
