I want to add Sky Safari Plus (release 1.8.5) to a new android tablet but can only find Sky Safari 4 Plus in Google Play. Is Sky Safari Plus still available ?

Bill Tschumy SkySafari 1.8 has been superseded by SkySafari 4. The old version is no longer available for new sales. If you have already purchased SkySafari 1.8 and just want to put it on a new device, you should be able to find it in the "My Apps" section of the Google Play store.
