At some point, I selected an object on SS7+. Then I exited the app. Sometime later, I opened the app and wanted to align with Starsense. The object was still selected, and my only options were to align on that object or cancel. I couldn't figure out how to unselect the object, the only way was to select another one, and then the choice was to align on that object or cancel. I tried clicking on an area where there are no objects, but that didn't unselect. Presumably, it doesn't let me align with Starsense because an object is selected, but maybe it's not that simple. I used to do this successfully with SS5+, but it was a long time ago. Maybe a settings problem?

Keiron Smith By app design, an object must always be selected. So, can either be current object, or, as you found, whatever other object you choose.
Thanks!

bfeinner Thanks for the reply. The main reason I was asking is that when I want to align with Starsense, it gives me the choice to align on the selected object or cancel. It doesn't give any other options. I don't want to align on the object, I want it to do a Starsense auto align. Does SS7+ lack the ability to do the auto align, or am I doing something wrong?

Keiron Smith There should be no problem using SS7+ and StarSense Auto Align.
Did you configure it in the Celestron options?

bfeinner I thought I had. With your prodding, I checked and it was set to Demo Interface. I think I had upgraded to SS7+ since the last time I used it, and it had worked with SS5+ before. I've now set it to Celestron Nexstar SE. I can't try it until at least tomorrow, but It's probably OK now. Thanks for the prod.
