Error Message When Connecting SkySafari 7 Pro To Scope Using Windows 11 + ASCOM Device Hub (Answer: Star-Align Scope Before Trying To Connect With SkySafari)

I am trying to get my EQ6R-Pro mount to be remotely controlled on my Windows 11 laptop using ASCOM Device Hub and SkySafari 7 Pro.  I can slew the scope using the pad on the Device Hub.  I found that when the remote server is up even the slew controls in Device Hub don't work.  I figure this is just normal functionality.

I open the Remote Server and it starts successfully.  The problem is when I try to connect to the scope using SkySafari7 Pro on my Galaxy S23 I get a Connection Failure message on the laptop stating "SkySafari Pro can make a wireless connection to the scope, but the scope is not responding.  Make sure the scope is powered on and connected correctly.  Also make sure you selected the correct scope type."  Power is on and I have selected the correct scope type.  I've tried Alpaca (even though I've read that you don't need it) and same issue.  You can see the log in the remote server window but what shows is gibberish to me.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Kevin,

"SkySafari Pro can make a wireless connection to the scope, but the scope is not responding.  Make sure the scope is powered on and connected correctly.  Also make sure you selected the correct scope type."

This error message also occurs if the scope is not star-aligned before trying to connect with SkySafari.

Thank you Keiron.  I finally got it to work to a point. I was able to link SkySafari Pro from my Android to ASCOM Device Hub on my Windows 11 laptop.  This was after I polar aligned and did a 3-star alignment.  However, when I tried to control the scope using SkySafari Pro on my phone a bunch of error messages scrolled through the ASCOM Remote Server Console log.  I was able to capture a quick screen grab as it was scrolling.  I also noticed a strange message on the Device Hub Telescope State.  It showed Weight Up.  It was a couple of weeks ago and I didn't note what I had the scope pointed to.  Does that message mean that the wights were pointed up?  I may have been pointing to a star close to the zenith.

Did you install the Ascom driver for the EQ6R-Pro?
