Sky Safari 7 Pro Celestron WiFi Not Working Since September 4, 2024 Update (Solution: Update To 7.4.1.7)

 
Hi I am running the updated version of Sky. 4 September 2024
 
Since the update I can no longer connect to my Celestron wifi and the app crashes.
 
I have reset and refreshed,deleted and added new connection,restarted phone. I connect to the wifi fine but a constant crash when I try to connect to celestron wifi. In both direct and wifi access points. It also informed on my multiple attempts with the new app Sky Safari 7 pro has a bug.
 
It is also doing the same on my Samsung tablets
 
Need help here with this fault.
 
Also is ths celestron starsense autoguider now supported? In the last update. I was informed previously it would be mid year.

    Please provide the following info:

    1. App and version.  See Help > Scroll to the bottom.
    2. OS version.
    3. Device make and model.

    Autoguider is not yet available.

    I connect to the wifi fine but a constant crash when I try to connect to celestron wifi.

    Please provide a screen recording that shows the settings and the UI and what you are doing when the app crashes.

    Link us to the recording via DropBox, Google Drive, iCloud or similar service.

    Hi Kieran
    1) SkySafari 7 Pro version 7.4.1.4 release 4 September 2024.
    2) Android Version 14 up to date
    3) Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra - Supported for this app.

    In reference to wifi connection this is connecting to my router via my Samsung S22 Ultra, the celestron skyportal app allow connection to my Celestron Wifi no problems at all with connection through access point and direct wifi connection. SkySafari 7 Pro doesn't work through 1) access point or 2) direct connection. This has only occured since 4 September update as I used it the night before I installed the update.

    I get an error to also informing "SkySafari 7 Pro Closed because this app has a bug. Try clearing the apps catch first the reopen the app". I did this numerous times with the same error.

    I will video this to assist, but the following occurs.
    1) select Scope
    2) connect
    3) struggles to load
    4) App closes
    5) Repeat and get this message as per above "SkySafari 7 Pro Closed because this app has a bug. Try clearing the apps catch first the reopen the app"

    This is for both Celestron Wifi connection, with access Point and direct connection.
    Celestron wifi dongle is working as it operates and connects to the Celestron Skyportal App with direct and access point.

    Can't wait for the celestron starsense autoguider to be supported, it will be a great addition.
