    Keiron, I'm sorry for my lack of clarity, but I simply want to get rid of the PGC object labels and keep the other catalog labels. In hindsight I should not have downloaded the PGC catalog when doing the update today. Is there any way to remove that catalog? Thanks.

    Delete the app and reinstall, to start again.

    I just tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. The download does not give me the ability to separate the databases. So it ended up reinstalling the PGC along with the rest of the catalogs.

    In App Store > check for updates.

    I want to turn off the PGC catalog as well. Extremely annoying to have them alongsidge normal labels. Fix or tell me how to fix.

    Sky Safari 7 Pro 7.5.1 (1118) PGC labels will not turn off. I do not need to see these labels. This was never a problem before. I have tried evey possible way to turn them off and they won't go away. Somewhere in the last update or two, the switch was flipped to show these. Only adds clutter.

    In Settings > DeepSky > Object Name Display > uncheck the Show Names option.

    Is this a resolution to the issue?  Or, you still think the app needs to be fixed?

    The only problem I see is unchecking the names option eliminates all of the useful names such as those in the Messier and NGC catalogs. It would be great to see the app have the ability to either remove a catalog that is not useful or to disable the names in that given catalog.

    That still does not work. It also seems to be completely random in the objects it displays. I haven't found any consistencies. Different catalogs of objects they are displayed against, different types of objets. Nothing makes them go away. Here is a screen shot of one. I have been out observing at the telescope every night since the 14th. I haven't found any way to shut them off.Iwould like the ability to turn off the PGC catalog entirely as I'll never use it in my life.

    This is a screen shot of the PGC catalog and how they are distributed. This catalog seems to be corrupted. I doubt there is a straight line dividing the sky with these.
