Select and Copy Multiple Objects in Observing List

I often select objects from one Observing List and copy them to other lists.  For example I may want to copy ten objects from the list "Double Stars" to "Double Stars for Tonight".  There are several steps to this operation, which must be repeated 10 times.

It would be VERY helpful if I could highlight the ten objects in "Double Stars" and copy them as a group into "Double Stars for Tonight."  (This is a simple example.  I have many Observation Lists for specific purposes, and need to move a lot of information).

Thank you for your help!

[AI-Reply] **Selecting and Copying Multiple Objects in Observing List**

To streamline the process of copying multiple objects from one observing list to another in your astronomy software, follow these steps:

    1. **Open the Observing List**: Navigate to the list where your desired objects are located.

    2. **Select Multiple Objects**:
    - Use the selection tool (often a checkbox or shift-click method) to highlight the objects you want to copy.
    - Ensure that all desired objects are selected at once.

    3. **Copy the Selected Objects**:
    - Look for a "Copy" option in the menu or right-click context menu after selecting the objects.
    - Choose the "Copy" function to copy the highlighted objects to your clipboard.

    4. **Navigate to the Destination List**: Go to the list where you want to paste the copied objects.

    5. **Paste the Objects**:
    - Use the "Paste" option in the menu or right-click context menu to insert the copied objects into the new list.
    - Confirm that the objects have been successfully added.

    ### Additional Tips:
    - If your software supports it, consider checking for any batch processing features that may allow for easier management of observing lists.
    - Look for updates or plugins that may enhance the functionality of your observing lists, as many astronomy software programs are regularly updated with new features.

This Auto-Bot response doesn't seem to apply to SkySafari.

Could a human look at this, if it is not too much trouble?  :)

These AI generated responses anger and disappoint me. They are obviously inadequate and go so far as to suggest that the customer “Consider providing feedback to the SkySafari development team”, which is precisely what he is attempting to do, seeing that it is posted in the Feature Request section of the forum!

    Bad show Simulation Curriculum.
