Dear developers,
your app SkySafari is undoubtedly one of the best for hobby and amateur astronomers, and you make it possible to explore the fascinating world of astronomy in a depth which is unrivaled by any other app.
However, there is a concern which i would like to share with you, and hope you can consider or think about it: for me and lots of others, this app (in my case: SkySafari 6), has really every imaginable function...except for one, which is until now missing: the possibility to display the orbits of the celestial bodies, or at least the planets and stars in our galaxy, while pointing to one of these celestial bodies.
This missing feature is the reason why i sometimes have to use the App SkyView, because there, this feature is perfectly implemented: when you point to a celestial body, it shows the orbit of the body, and when you move the pointer along the orbit of the body, depending on the position, it shows the time when the body was or will be at that particular position.
For a better overview, i have attached images from this function in SkyView (see below) to this message. Here you can see, that it is even possible to figure out where the sun was at which position and which exact time when sunrise was in progress (at the red line of the horizon). I hope you can implement that function, and then, your app will be complete and make any other astronomy app superfluous and unnecessary!
Best regards!
Samy
