Connection of NexStar 5 SLT telescope to a Windows 10 laptop to operate Celestron Starry Night Special Edition

The 'setup guide here' hyperlinks on both the Starry Night and the Celestron websites are faulty and display 'oops' when clicked on. After many unanswered emails to Celestron I went to Simulation Curriculum/Starry Night. Simulation Curriculum was none too helpful either. Instead of them indicating that the hyperlinks were corrected and that I could use them, they suggested umpteen alternatives. All I want to know is how to connect up my NexStar 5 SLT to a Windows 10 laptop. A suggestion I got from a Celestron distributor was connect via a serial port. Modern laptops do not have serial ports anymore, so that was not helpful. Could someone let me know how to connect a NexStar 5 SLT to a Windows 10 laptop.  Thank you. Chris Butlin at butlinca@aol.com
