Unable to add telescopes

Under "Telescopes", after clicking on "+", I entered the name of my telescope that is not on the regular pull-down list. I then click on "Done". But when I go back to the Telescope tab, I do not see the scope I added. I logged out, then logged in again, and the scope I entered is still not listed under the "Telescope" tab.
