SkySafari 5 | Can Not Restore Orbit Mode

 I purchased the Orbit mode, but it will not enable. I've tried to restore but to no avail. Please help!

    Luis,

    We recently released a 6.0.2 version of SkySafari that we think addresses this problem.  Could you check what version you have (look near the bottom of the Help screen).

    It is also the case that a few folks that purchased the app before 6.0.2 are unable to get it to work even after the new release.  If that is your case please try:

    1. Rebooting your iOS device and trying again.

    2. Logging out of iTunes in the iOS settings and logging back in again.  

    Hopefully one of the above will resolve the issue.  Sorry for the problems.

    I have version 5.4.1.0.

    I've tried the suggestions you outlined but it's still not working.

    So, what's next?

    Ah, that's interesting.  Did you just buy this copy of SkySafari 5 or have you had it a while?  If you just purchased SkySafari 5, I recommend you ask Apple for a refund and get SkySafari 6 instead which we released last month.

    We have not seen any problems with Orbit Mode purchase in SkySafari 5 so I'm a bit at a loss as to what could be happening.  Are you absolutely sure you were signed into the same Apple account when you originally purchased the orbit mode?

    I assume that when you tap Orbit, it is putting up a message saying that you need to purchase it?

    1. If you tap the Restore, what happens?  You should get a message after a few seconds saying it has been restored.

    2. If you tap Purchase and you have already purchased it, then the App Store will tell you that and will say it will Restore the purchase.

    I've had SkySafari 5 for a while, but recently saw the Orbit and it sounded interesting.

    Yes, you are correct, that the message I get. I've tried to Restore multiple times, but does not seem to work either.

    When I tap the "Purchase" button, it wants me to purchase it again. I don't know if this will work and do not want to pay again.

    I am happy with version 5, so I don't really want to purchase version 6.

    I just want to experience the Orbit mode.

    You also didn't answer this question: "Are you absolutely sure you were signed into the same Apple account when you originally purchased the orbit mode?"

    That is all I can think of that might cause this problem.  The code for purchase of Orbit mode hasn't changed in a couple of years and I haven't had any other reports of this.

    Another possibility is to try uninstalling the app and then re-installing.  That could possibly clear up what is going on.

    If none of the above works, then you will have to ask Apple for a refund (you technically bought this from them and then they pay us).  We just don't have any other way to track down the problem.

    "Are you absolutely sure you were signed into the same Apple account when you originally purchased the orbit mode?" Yes, I only have 1 account.

    My last option is to uninstall it an reinstall.
