Hello,

To control my mount (AZ-EQ6) with SkySafary5 installed on my android tablet, I equipped myself with SkyBT and the cable that goes well.

This cable has a 6-core RJ12 plug and not an 8-pin RJ45, which does not allow connection to the RJ45 socket of the AZ-EQ6 mount.

Hence my question: is it the right cable? if so, or should I plug this plug? on the self-guiding port of the mount (I hesitate)

  You connect the cable to the bottom of the hand controller, not to the mount itself.  That should be a 6 pin connector although only the center 4 pins are wired.

  OK and thank you,
  But despite many tests I can not get a response from my mount, although bluetooth communication with the SkyBT is established.
  The setting of SkySafari 5 Pro is good:
  "Scope Type-SkyWatcher SynScan"
  "Mount Type - Equatorial Go To (German)"
  "Connect via Bluetooth"
  "Rate readout - 4 per second"
  I tried everything, with and without calibration, in live PC mode, but nothing works.

  I do believe the SkyWatcher mounts need to be star aligned before they will respond to an external connection.  I think you said you had tried that, but I wanted to be clear.

  When you tried to connect, do you see the lights on the SkyBT flash differently?  Seeing that will indicate you are indeed talking to the SkyBT correctly.

  Yes, when trying to connect, the SkyBT flash differently and I have a message that indicates bluethooth communication is well established, but that the telescope provides no response. I renewed the procedure Star align (successful), but without more success.
  It annoys me, I give up and the SkyBT will end up in my trash.

  I wouldn't give up so soon.  We haven't finished troubleshooting.

  What serial cable are you using?  Is it a Skywatcher/SynScan serial cable? Each mount manufacturer wires their cables differently so a generic serial cable will likely not work.

  OK, then you probably have the correct cable.  Looking back in you previous postings I see you were trying PC Direct mode.  That will not work.  I assume you also tried it in the regular mode, after doing a star alignment?
