  Hi Kevin, 

  Reboot.  Make sure you calibrate your compass poperly.  If you're using a cover on your tablet you might consider removing the cover and very carefully testing the compass function without physical interference.

  No this has to be an issue with the tablet.  Other compass capable apps also have the jitter.

  I have the same jittery issues on my Galaxy s8. The compass is calibrated and works other apps. I have a Celestron scope and their Skyportal app works fine. I have rebooted, restarted and uninstalled/re-installed and it is the same problem. I have a screenshot that I can send.

  I think we are going to have to put some configurable averaging into the product on Android.  Some devices just seem to have a lot of jitter.  I will make sure this makes it into SS6 for Android.

  Hi just to say version 6 for Android also is jittery on a Samsung A3 2016.
