[Bug] SkySafari 6 Plus Icon Corruption

I just updated Sky Safari 6 Plus 6.02 Mac Ond the app icon is corrupted. It looks faded out mostly transparent. You see a corrupted bearly visible image which (OS10.12.6 iMac)show (I think) a red telescope.

Also, when you do an About Sky Safari 6 Plus, you get nothing back,

I have a small astronomy forum. I have been recommending Sky Safari 6 Plus Mac,  b I'm starting to become concerned about this product.

I have the iPhone app as well and it's great.

Also, when you do an "About Sky Safari 6 Plus" there is a split second flash but you get no screen.

This is how it looks in your OS X Applications folder?  Or this is how it looks in the dock?

It's interesting because I did see the icon look like that in the developer meta data on Apple's site where you upload the app.  I figured it must be something corrupted on their end and that if it affected the app, Apple's review process would surely notify me.  The latest code that I built the Plus from works fine for me.  The icon displays fine and the  About panel displays correctly.

I didn't upload a new binary because this would require me to create a new version.  I will look into it.

It's corrupted in the application folder, as well as the Apple doc.

Another interesting thing is that I have the current version of DragThing (had it for many years)  and it is not corrupted there. However, it h been in Dragthing since I first bought 6 Plus.

    Clarification:

I DO NOT  keep Sky Safari 6 Plus in the Apple doc.

But when I launch the app, it arrives to do the bounce, corrupted and stays that way until I quit the App. It is corrupted in the application folder whether launched or not.

I will have to contact Apple to se what might have happened on their end.  for people that are seeing a corrupted icon in 6.0.2, did you also run 6.0.1?  I assume the icon was fine there?  We didn't touch the icons between 6.01 and 6.0.2  it seems that something got corrupted.  Sigh.

Am having the exact same icon issue as reported by G. Perry in his first and second post.  FYI, I installed 6.0.2 fresh from the App store, i.e. was not running 6.0.1 to begin with and am still running SkySafari Plus release 1.8 without any problems !!

Bottom line, my installed 6.0.2 app icon is showing exactly per G. Perry image shown above, this for both the Launchpad and the Applications folder.  Am not running from the Dock.  However, if I create a new folder within the Launchpad and then move the corrupted icon in said folder, I can see the "correct" blue color icon image albeit a smaller thumbnail image size.  As soon as I open the folder to select the application, the icon becomes corrupted again.  The program runs fine for me but if I click "About" will then see the corrupted icon again.  As soon as the mouse is moved away from the "About" selection menu, the About screen then disappears right away, i.e. it closes by itself.

Hoping that the above explanations can help sort out this weird icon appearance issue.

    Please advise.  Thank you.

I'm pretty sure that this isn't going to get resolved until we submit a new version.  It sounds like this is all cosmetic right now.  There are no important features that can't be accessed because of this, right?

I have asked Apple for help figuring our what happened, but they haven't been too "helpful" so far.

Bill, Thank you for the quick reply.

No, all features seem to be working good other than this odd visual distraction.  See attached for your reference.
