In SkySafari 6 Pro (6.0.2), typing a string into the Search box gives a list of objects, but left-clicking on an object name doesn't center the star chart on that object, nor does right-clicking bring up options for that object.

William Vaughan Oops, after I quit Sky Safari and restarted it, Search is working fine. Sorry I didn't try that before I posted.

Keiron Smith Thanks, William!

Antonio Agnesi Hi there,
I don't know if it's only me, but this seems to be a bug. Yes I can quit SS6 Pro and restart, until the bug shows up again, and again...
I'm using macOS 10.13.4.
Thanks,
Antonio

Bill Tschumy Antonio,
I don't know how you are getting into this situation and your's is the only report of it. Please try to figure out what is triggering this behavior. Otherwise it will be hard to fix.

Antonio Agnesi Hi Bill,
here's 1-min screen recording: https://goo.gl/UxwZ5X
The "search" function seems to get stuck as soon as I enter a simple number, with no letters: this is because I usually look for SAO stars with suitable magnitude for focusing, maybe that's why I spotted it... As you see in the video, after the search gets stuck for example with M13, I can put 13 instead, and choose M13 from the list and it centers it.
However, next time it gets stuck it cannot be fixed any longer, and I need to quit the application.
Another issue I found is that the scope FOV is not displayed even if the option "show even if not connected to telescope" is checked: I need to uncheck and re-check the FOV choice.
Hope this helps. Surely I can try to delete SSP6 and reinstall...
Thanks,
Antonio

Bill Tschumy Thanks for the video. I now see the problem. It can happen whenever you have previously selected an item further down in an old list than you are currently selecting in a new list. I'm surprised (and a bit embarrassed) by this. I will be getting a new release out early next week that will fix it.

William Vaughan Just to follow up, the new release solved the Search and selection problem for me, too. Thanks!

Bill Tschumy Good to hear.
