SkyFi 3 | Reverts To the Ad Hoc Network, Will Not Join My Existing WiFi Network [Unresolved]

When I try to use my existing WiFi network the SkyFi unit just reverts to the adhoc connection and will not join my WiFi.

On further investigation I do see a new IP address next to auto detect but the software still doesn't detect the scope. NB, it does find the scope in adhoc mode so no wiring problem. Should I have a different port number? It now shows 4030.
I have tried both Skysafarie 5 pro and Starry Night college 7.

    The port number is the same in either case.

    Are you running on iOS, Mac or Android?  Is this SkyFi 2 or SkyFi 3?  SkyFi 3 has a slightly hourglass shape rather than rectangular.

    If Auto-Detect is finding it then it probably is correctly joining the home network.  What is the IP address it is finding for it.
