I still get notices of Tiangong 1 rising. Since it crashed to earth earlier this month is there a way the programmers can remove it?

Bill Tschumy Which app are you running? I know it is gone in SkySafari 6. Are you still on SS5. If you are on SS6, you should try updating the Minor Body Orbit Data (although it should update weekly automatically).

Kent I use both. After manually updating, SS6 Tiangong 1 is gone, but it's still there on SS5.

Chris Will it be disabled for SS5 since SS6 isn't out for Android yet? Still getting lots of notifications.

Bill Tschumy We try to spend some time today to see what might be happening.

Chris Third time this has popped up in the past week.

Bill Tschumy The Tiangong 1 data is in our default data that ships with the app. So even though we no longer get new elements when we pull from Celestrak, it will still be in there. Yes, this was probably a design error. We aren't planning on releasing a new version of SS5 so I'm afraid people will have to live with it. Sorry.
