[MacOS] Please Add Keyboard Shortcuts For Scope Control/Slewing

I'm sorry if this has been requested already or the option already exists.

I use a macbook for controlling a Celestron Nexstar via Celestron WIFI.

Since the alignment must be done using SkySafari controls, it would be good to have a set of 4 adjacent keys to control the slew while looking through the eyepiece. Otherwise, I have to look at the mac screen, find the button with the mouse or trackpad, the again to eyepiece and so on.

Having the shortcuts, I could place my hand on the keyboard and slew the scope without the need of looking at the mac and use the trackpad/mouse

I hope this makes sense.

Yes, I agree these would be useful.  I looked into it a while ago and it was trickier than I thought.  It is still on my list and I hope to get to it before too long.

It's been a few years since this feature request was posted so I just want to say: this would be incredibly useful, and I would pay for this!  It would be so nice to align the scope without looking away from the eyepiece.

Completely agree. It's very difficult to control slewing while looking through eyepiece. Having 4 dedicated keys would be really useful. Has there been any progress on providing this?
