I am writing to you to describe my installation problem and find a solution. Here is my situation:
Several years ago, I purchased SN pro 6 and installed it on my Desktop, an iMac running on OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). It worked perfectly and still works.
After a few years, I wanted to install SN pro 6 on my laptop, a Macbook Pro running on OS 10.10.3 (Yosemite) for use when I am away from home. The installation could not be achieved, probably because of an incompatibility between SN pro 6 and Yosemite.
I therefore decided to purchase the update to SN pro 7 which I could not install on my Macbook Pro (probably because it could see no trace of SN 6 in that computer, which, as I explained above, would not install on that computer).
I then tried to install SN pro 7 on my iMac (which has SN Pro 6) but there too, I got a message: “ SN pro 7 can’t be installed on this disk”.
I thought that having purchased SN pro 6, I was entitled to updates, but it seems this is not the case. Now I find myself in a dead end and quite frankly I have the feeling that I have been sold an update that I cannot use. Would you please review carefully this situation and let me know if there is a solution to unlock this situation. I will be happy to clarify any point if I have not been clear enough.
With kind regards
Marc
