Show Crosshairs at Field Center (Solution: Turn On: "Show Even When Not Connected To Scope" And Turn On A FOV Indictor With Crosshairs In It)

I am a long-time SkySafari user who often uses the app for planning robotic imaging sessions and comparing images to its star charts.  I think it would be useful to allow the user to add a small plus symbol or crosshairs that converge on the center of the field.  I know that you can center the active object, but often I want that object to be off-center, and to then be able to read coordinates of the field center.  The imaging program MaxIm DL and the old charting software Megastar have this feature, so this request is not that far out there.  Would it be possible to add this feature, even it was buried somewhere in a sub-menu?  Thanks.

I agree, this would be useful ... but in the meantime .. you could define a FOV where the circle is tiny, and that could show you where the center of the field is.

    Just an idea ...

Very good idea, Robert.  It didn't occur to me that one can already add crosshairs to a custom CCD camera field of view.

    Cancel that feature request!

    Tom,

Robert nailed it.  Turn on "Show even when not connected to scope" and turn on a FOV indictor with crosshairs in it.  That should get you what you want.
