SkyFi 3 | How To Use SkyX To Communicate With SkyFi 3 on MacOS? (Answer: Check With SkyX Community Forum)

I saw there is a possibility to use SkyFi III wifi controller from TheSkyX on Windows machines via virtual serial port. My question is if there is also an option to do that on from TheSkyX running on Mac? My mount is Takahashi EM200 Temma 2. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Miroslav,

Can you explain more about what you are trying to accomplish?  Are you trying to talk to the SkyFi from SkyX, where the SkyX machine is located some distance away?  I don't think this is possible on Mac since I don't believe the SkyX is set up to communicate over a TCP/IP connection.  You might check on the SkyX forums though.

    Bill,

This is exactly what I would like to do. I know TheSkyX needs com port (serial port) to communicate and this problem is sorted out on Windows machines installing virtual serial port which makes TheSkyX believe it is communicating via com port and not TCP/IP. I was wondering if such virtual port software also exist for Macs and actually I found some, free as well as paid. I will try some of them and will also check out TheSkyX forum for advice. Many thanks for your reply and help.

    Regards,

    Miroslav
