SkySafari 6 Pro | How To Clear The Home Screen Badge Count "1" (Answer: We Don't Know)

Woke-up thismorning to see a home screen badge count of 1 on SkySafari Pro 6. Run the app, went into everything (got a H-R in-app purchase sales message, an invite to joing LiveSky) and still a badge count of "1". Nothing in iPhone Notifications list and it wont clear!

All "Notifications" in SkySafari Settings->Appearance&Behaviour "Notifications" are switched off.

Only way to remove it is to disable the badge count in iPhone Settings->Notifications but then re-enable it and the badge count reappears.

Is there any way to clear this as I've seen the sales pitch messages (very anoying) and can't find any other stuff it's warning me about.

I got rid of the "1" badge count by removing the app from memory, and restarting it.

Thanks and weird. All my other apps do this automatically (but none of the other apps use notifications for marketing or pursuading you to buy in-app purchases!). That is remove the badge count automatically without needing to restart.

Frankly, I do not have a problem with these notifications that I regard as useful  information. I might not have known about these new possibilities if there had not been a notification.

I think the app badge that did not disappear was caused by the fact that two notifications appeared at the same time, namely a message that one of the new catalogues had finished loading, and that the H-R diagram was available. When I pressed OK to the top one, I think the other one disappeared as well, and the app probably got the country wrong.

The programmers should consider a way to ensure that two notifications do not appear at the same time (and maybe reset the badge to zero whenever the app is opened).

We do reset the badge count to zero each time the app is started.  I'm not sure why it wasn't working in this case.
