It would be really nice to have alerts that very briefly indicate an astronomical event and where it occurred, as well as provide a link to somewhere for more info (e.g., research website, professional astronomical database, etc). Ex: an alert might be for a particularly bright supernova, and the app would allow you to click to see where on the map it is located. Or: astromers have just found for the first time a black hole devouring a star - here is where it is located on the map.
Maybe you could have a curated list of daily or weekly or monthly events?
