Where are my custom user locations that are suppose to be stored in the location list?

I've put in multiple locations saving them with the "Save as User Defined Location" button but when I go to find them with the "Choose Location from List" my custom locations are not in the list?  Is there some secret button I need to push to see them?  Why are they not visible.

Using the MacOS version and running the most current version of High Sierra.

You will find them at the top of the list you see when you choose "Choose Location Form List" in the location settings.  You will also see them in the "Sites" option from the Observe menu.

The "Save as User Defined Location" should really be named "Save as User Defined Observing Site".  I will make that change.

Nope.  Not there.  I added two locations.  Hit save.  Quit. Start and they are no where to be found.  I also dropped two pins on the map of the same locations.  Quit. Start. Nowhere to be found.

I just verified it is working for me.  When you say you "Hit Save", I assume you mean you are clicking the "Save As User Defined Location" button in the Location settings.

Are you using the default user account or have you logged into LiveSky with an account tied to your email address?

Ok If I go to the menu and pick sites, now I see they are there.  If I use the "Location" icon on the top bar and the Location tab comes out, they are not on that list.  That was my expectation that they would be on the "Location" list.  It is misleading from a UI perspective to have a button labeled "Save as User-Defined Location" and then you put it on a Site list that is only accessible from a different interaction.  My expectation was it would be placed in the Location list.

Thank you for the clarification.  The pins are still missing.

I'm not sure what "Location" list you are referring to?.

They do appear in the list "Choose Location From List > User Defined Observing Site".  The only UI error we have is that "Save as User Defined Location" should read "Save as User Defined Observing Site".  We changed the terminology in SkySafari 6 and this button label was not updated.

We don't display pins on the map corresponding to any sites.  The pin is only when picking a location on the map to use as your location settings.
