SN6 Pro Plus worked on Win 7 but won't complete run process on Win 10

Hello,

I am on SN6 Pro Plus and upgraded my Win 7 laptop to Win 10. SN6 ran under Win 7 but bombs out after about 80% of the loadup process under Win 10. In other words, I installed the software via download but during the boot-up splash screen it chokes on the "loading all sky" portion. I have tried setting the program to run in Win 7 compatibility mode and as an administrator.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Jack

    Hi Jack,

    Please provide the following information:

    1. The graphics card.

In Windows 10 ---> Right click on Windows Icon/Start button---> Go to "Run" ---> type "dxdiag" in the search field and hit return. ---> On the DirectX panel that opens up look under the Display tab for "Device" <--- what it says here will be the graphics card.

Note if its Pro, Home, etc. Also, and 32 or 64 bit.

Good to "see" you again, Keiron. You've supported me perfectly for a long time now. :)

    Hi Jack,

The Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset is not officially supported on Windows 10. Intel released no Windows 10 drivers for it. And, without drivers there is no support for OpenGL - required for Starry Night to run.

    Options are:

    1. Install on a different computer running a supported OS.

    2. Revert that computer back to the last officially supported OS (i.e. Windows 7) and thereby get access to the drivers that Intel did release for it.

    Sorry.
