I was using the most recent version of SkySafari on my iPad to plan for an upcoming star party.
I like viewing transits and shadow transits of the Jovian moons, and was excited to see that quite a few would happen while I was at the star party ... but when I looked to see how high Jupiter would be above the horizon, and found that most, if not all, happened after Jupiter had set. Is that as designed? I think it would be better to omit the events that happen after the planet sets (and can’t be observed). As an example of what I am talking about, look at the events for Jupiter on October 8th (in North Carolina).
I also just saw the “voice bubble” that pronounces the name of the selected object when you press it. Of course, I tried Zubenelgenubi (and it worked)! But to me the icon seems in the wrong place. It is in the left column (above all the data). I think just to the right of the name it is pronouncing would be more natural.
As always, SkySafari is a great product! These are just a couple of suggestions to make it even better!
