I went to search menu and click on Brightest Stars and had no problem, Gave me a long list and did not freeze the app and kick my out of the app.

Yes, but I asked what happens *after* you brought up the Brightest Stars list. If you then tapped on the Current Satellites, doe sit still crash.
Did you try updating your orbital elements?
