I've been working with the CSV exports from LiveSky, and I can make them work, but this was a process that worked much better in SS5 by simply exporting the observations in a Skylist format. Would it be possible to add export in Skylist format to Livesky? That is a format that some other programs are already compatible with (I am using Astroplanner), and the Skylist files were so much easier to deal with than the CSV ones now being exported. I would hope this wouldn't be a big deal, since the skylist format is one that SS has used for quite a long time, and still uses for observing lists.

Chris Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but LiveSky already offers the ability to export in skylist format. When I go to observation lists and click the download button, a pop up window shows csv or skylist.
For actual observations they've switched to OAL which appears to be a big improvement. I'm not sure if SkySafari can convert OAL to skylist files.

Chris Willis Sorry, I should have been clearer in my post. I meant exporting observations in Skylist format, not the observing lists. You can export the lists in Skylist format, but the observations only download in CSV or OAL formats. I am trying to get my observations into another program that I have been using for years for my observations, and the CSV exports are difficult to deal with.

Chris Willis Keiron, it's Astroplanner. I originally bought it because of its compatibility with SkySafari, and it worked great up until version 6. Now, I can still create observing lists in Astroplanner, export them in Skylist format, and put them into SkySafari 6 with no problem, but getting the observations back out and into Astroplanner is extremely difficult, because of the CSV export feature on LiveSky (which isn't really working right now, and even when it's working the file requires lots of work to get it imported). Under SkySafari 6, observations contained in a list imported perfectly into Astroplanner, so I was hoping/suggesting that perhaps we could export observations in a Skylist format. We will review this request as we build LiveSky into Starry Night 8. Can't say if or when for sure. And, also, suggest that you also ask AstroPlanner developers to support OAL.

Chris Willis Thanks again for responding. In the meantime, it would be great if you can fix the omission of the equipment field from the current Livesky CSV exports. It was working fine originally, but now it has stopped being in the files altogether.
