SS6 Pro Feature Requests | Observation Horizon Coordinates

Would it be possible to include a record of the Alt and Az position of the object within the observation data?  This could be automatically calculated based on the observation start time.

Typically when I am reviewing observations I would like to assess my comments about the quality of the image at the eyepiece, etc. in the light of how high above the horizon the object was, and how close to being on the meridian.

Many thanks,

Totally agree with this, or at a minimum, put one of those handy clocks next to an observation so I can very easily go back to that time, date, and preferably location, to see that info. Great suggestion.

Thank you for your support Chris.  I guess what we are also asking for then, as a prerequisite to this, and as a useful feature in itself, is to save a record of the location (Lat and Long) with each observation

Correct. I log my location, along with date and time, for each observation. The problem occurs when I'm contemplating, do I want to re-observe an object, and a key question is, what were the conditions when I last observed it. Where was I? How dark was it? What was the seeing? How high was the object? For a planet.like Mars, some might care about distance. These questions are currently difficult to answer quickly but don't have to be.

During beta, I brought up that location isn't shown when looking at past observations, and the workaround, I was told, was to enter the name of the site into the session name, but having all of this info at a glance would be nice.

I missed this request when you first made it.  I have added it to our list, but can't promise if or when it might happen.

Hello, I realize that not all requests are possible, but adding to this one.  If we are able to add the horizon coordinates to an observation, would it also be possible to log the observing location?  It may be there already, but I don't see the field, at least in LiveSky.

    Many thanks, Andrew
