SS6 Pro -- very slow to add a new observation with approx. 12 observing lists loaded

I had a new problem with Sky Safari 6 Pro for Android last night.  Each time I tried to add a new observation (from the "Information" screen for an object), the program would display a spinning progress icon in the middle of the screen and would take 30-60 seconds to move to the screen to input a new observation.  I tried restarting the program and even rebooting my tablet, but the problem continued.  I then noted that one difference between this session and past sessions was that I had added a fair number of observing lists (total of about a dozen), whereas before I had only had about 5-6.  I deleted several of the observing lists, and the speed immediately improved, although the issue was not totally gone for the evening.  It seems, though, that if there are that many observing lists, it massively slows down the portion of the program responsible for creating a new observation.

Details:

Sky Safari 6 Pro for Android, version 6.0.4.34.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Android version 7.0

This points up something that I would suggest as an improvement for the program too.  It would be nice to have observing lists as part of your Livesky account that are not necessarily loaded on to your device for an observing session.  That way, you can have as many lists as you want without cluttering your observing list view.  And it would prevent the problem that I experienced, described above.
