Sky Safari 6 plus lag using direction buttons on a Celestron Skyportal Wifi Module?

I am using an Apple ipad Air 2 ( A8X chip with 64‑bit architecture and 64 gigs memory, and 2 gigs Ram) with a Celestron SkyPortal WiFi module on a CGEM 11 mount. The program frequently hangs up and then catches up like it doesn't have enough memory. How much Ram does SkySafari 6 plus need to work smoothly?
