just a question before I will do my upgrade from Starry Night 7 Pro Plus.
You advertise SN8 with "updated, best-in-class telescope control experience".
Can you show some screenshots/videos or provide more information about the telescope control changes between SN7 Pro Plus and SN8 Pro Plus?

The biggest change from a users viewpoint was in separating the telescope control into two panels.
Basically they have separated the setup functions from the operational ones. Otherwise they work the same.
I think they have some patching to do on some issues that apparently were not caught during beta testing (hardly unusual on a major upgrade)

The Starry Night control panel UI was reworked under the careful eye of Bill Tschumy, the lead developer of SkySafari.
Also, additional backend debugging has been implemented to help us troubleshoot telescope control issues.
