I have tried using Skyfi III with a Celestron AVX and a iOptron iEQ30 - Pro with various ports using multiple serial cables into all available jacks and get the same error - skysafari 6 pro can make a wireless network connection but the scope is not responding.

  Are you using an official iOptron serial cable?  Not all serial cables are wired the same.  Also, did you star align the scope before trying to connect?

  Yes it is an iOptron serial cable and I got it to work after alignment, that was my issue. Thank you for your help
