Wasted disk space

I bought the PGC and GAIA Extension Data Bases for SkySafari  6 Pro.

These are huge libraries : The PGC data base takes up 101 MB on disk, and the GAIA data base takes up 1.4 GB on disk.

That's OK but they have been installed at two different places on my disk : one is related to the App Store and the other in my user library.

It seems to me that this is an unnecessary use of disk space.

The sole effect of this redundancy is to change the indication "Purchased" to "Installed" in the SkySafari App Purchases.

There should be other ways to do this !

Still no comment from the SS6 team !

I attach a screenshot showing the file redundancy and will help (I hope)

    Jean-Claude,

I was not aware that a copy of the data was left under /Library.  None of Apple's documentation talks about it.  It looks like you can delete those and the app still runs fine and loads the data from the other location, which is where we expect it.  I will have to do some research about why that is left there and whether Apple says it is OK to delete.  It may be that that is just some sort of cache that is used during the download process.
