Do the Special Edition Versions Of Starry Night Have An Option To Toggle Off Lens Flare? (Answer: No)

Hello,

I'm trying to get rid of the Sun's lens flare. All I can find is "just right click on the SUN's image and select 'Halo Effects > Lens Flare'"
This option is nowhere to be found.
Right clicking the Sun I get the following options:

Select Sun
Centre
Magnify
Show info
Print Chart
Pronounce "Sun"
Show events...

None of these options, or the sub-menus have an option as mentioned above.

So is there no way of removing the annoying lens flare? Or do I have to upgrade to version 8?

  Hi Keiron,

  Looks like a great menu with lots of fun stuff. How do you get to it. Attached are what I get.

  Note that I maybe should have mentioned at the outset: I'm using Starry Night that I got with a telescope I bought. Could this make a difference?

  Apologies, but it looks like the Celestron Special Edition does not include the extended menu options as shown in my screenshot.

  If you would like more options, advanced features, and bigger databases please consider upgrading.
