How To Add Custom Ambient Sounds In SkySafari 6 Pro (Answer: Add MP3 Files To The Top Level Of The SkySafari 6 Directory)

Hello,

I've been trying to add a custom ambient sound with no succes.

In the SkySafari 6 Pro folder from my Galaxy S7's Internal Storage there was no Sounds folder so I created it and added an mp3 file. The file was purchased from Google Play Music store. I can play it just fine with other music player apps from my phone but it won't appear in the Ambient Sound section in SkySafari settings.

Is there another format I need to convert it into?

Thanks.

Alex.

    Alex,

We only look for .mp3  sound files.  We look in the top level of the SkySafari 6 directory.  If you put them in a "Sounds" directory, they will not be found.

Oh, it worked right away after placing the mp3 in the SS folder. In the help page it says to place it in the Sounds directory inside the SS folder for Android devices.

    Thanks for clarifying this.

It looks like that is an error in the Help.  I will get that corrected.
