Looking at the 2125 Venus transit of the sun with daylight turned on, I found that I could centre Venus or the sun with no change in daylight. When I centred other things - e.g. Mercury - daylight turned off and I had to go to the options to turn it back on. See the attached screen shots.
Centering on Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune all turned off daylight in the following scenario (2024 total eclipse).
