Why Does SN8 Uses DMM For Lat/Long Locations When SkySafari And Other Apps Use DMS?

Hi,

is it possible that SkySafari is more accurate than SN8 because you can't add " to the long/lat of your home location?

  Please explain exactly what is not accurate about Starry Night as compared to SkySafari.  It is not at all clear from your post what the issue is.

  I'm just irritated about the fact that every astro app I know (including SS6) is using DMS (Degrees, minutes, and seconds) for my location settings while SN8 uses DMM.
