How To Make A Wired USB-to-Serial Connection From SkySafari 6 Plus On MacOS + IOptron iEQ45 Pro Mount?

So, all the information on connecting to various mounts is extremely vague, but I was under the impression that I could use a USB to serial adapter to connect my Mac to my Ioptron mount and control it with SkySafari.

However, I cannot figure it out.

Any ideas.

    Hi Charlie, 

    USB-to-Serial is fine.  You need an iOptron-specific Serial-to-RS232 cable as well.  Your connection will look like this.

    Macbook >>> USB-to-Serial >>> Serial-to-RS232 cable >>> iOprton iEQ45 Pro
