Angular separation values in status bar

Hello guys,

Will it be possible to add the angular separation values to be displayed at the bottom status bar? For example displaying the value of the  last 2 objects selected.

It'll be very convenient rather than having to enable the "Measure from" from the Menus, especially when I need to get the values from different objects on different part of the sky.

Thanks

Are you referring to the Mac version.  There is no bottom status bar on iOS or Android.  On mobile devices space is at a premium and I don't think this will be possible.  It could happen on the mac.

Are you aware that you can also get the separation fro the last selected object to the current selected object?  It is displayed in the Object Info.  You might find that more convenient than measurement mode.

Sorry, I was actually referring to the Mac version.

Yes, I noticed the angular separation values were displayed on the left pane, which is really good.

Maybe if we can have the "measure from" menu to be included in the pop-up menu after right clicking on the 1st object,  and then display the line (just like when we choose from the main menu) when we click the targeted object. I think this way will make the information faster.

    Thanks

I curious what you are doing that you need access to this information frequently.  That will help me design the best solution.  I think for most users this feature is only occasionally used.

Every year , I've prepared an astronomical almanac for my local astronomy community and institutions in Malaysia, which focused on interesting planetary conjunctions. Initial calculations were usually done via python script, but I need to have some easy visualization on the events based on our local time zone and horizons.

I limit those events to conjunctions within 10 degrees to each other. At the moment, I used the "Field of view" display to have a rough estimation on the 10 deg area.

I guess by making a graphical line information from "measure from" options to be more accessible, that would be a great addition.
