Having Issues Connecting with Sky Safari Pro using Access Point Mode

I have finally taken the time to test Sky Safari Pro using Access Point Mode instead of the Direct Connect mode so I can have the connection on my home network.  I followed all the instructions religiously to the ‘T’ and I was only able to get it to connect once to my home network.  I also tired the Sky Portal App and I am having the same issues.  I was able to get it to work with Celestron’s new CPWI act which runs on my laptop.  The instructions are pretty much the same except on CPWI it a different Menu option.

After I had it working, I shutdown the mount and put the switch back to Direct Connect Mode then reconnected using Sky Portal and Sky Safari Pro and no issues.  I then told the apps to use access mode and sent the information from both apps and got a confirmation that everything was updated.  I then told me to move to switch down to Access Mode which I did but from then on, I can’t get Sky Safari to reconnect using Access Point Mode.

Any Ideas?

I resolved the issue tonight.  I did not have my Ipad in a good location in the house to get a strong WiFi signal.  So all I have left is to get the SkyFi 3 device to work with my home network.  That issue is listed under:

Cannot communicate to SkyFi 3 on my home network
