When I power on the scope and start the app and connect to the Nexstar - should the finder dot in Sky Safari be pointing in the direction the scope is pointing? I noticed that when it is connected my Nexstar will be pointing to the east but the finder dot in Sky Safari is in the North near the Horizon. When I go to do an alignment - Sky Align- the finder dot is moving nowhere near where the stars are I am aligning on. Everything seems to be loaded correctly - date-time-location and wi-fi is connected.
