SkySafari + SkyFi 2 Does Not Get Response From Celestron CGX With USB Hand Controller (Answer: SkyFi 2 Is Not Compatible With Celestron USB, Please Upgrade To SkyFi 3)

I am using SkiFi with SkySafari to connect to my new Celestron CGX-L mount but it does not get a response back from the scope. I have tried the mount USB port (printer type usb connector) and a network connection through the hand controller with the same result.
SkySafari has an option for CGX that I have selected. Don’t know what else to try. The SkyFi used to connect fine with my older CGE mount through the hand controller.

The error message says that SkiFi is able to connect to the telescope, but the telescope is not responding.  Check the power is on and the correct telescope is selected..

    Hi Larry, 

    1. Are you using SkyFi 3; i.e. w/ rechargeable battery?  Or, SkyFi 2; i.e. AA batteries required?
    2. Does your Celestron hand controller have a USB-Mini port, or the older RS232 port?
    3. Are you star-aligning with the hand controller before trying to connect with SkySafari?
    4. What OS are you using?

    Hi Larry,

    SkyFi 2 is not compatible with Celestron USB.  Please upgrade to SkyFi 3 for Celestron USB compatibility.
