I got a new computer, bc my old one didn't have enough capacity to install the windows 7, now I have a new computer, but it wont let me download this software after many attempts to troubleshoot. any help at all would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I have the starry night pro plus 7
My computer will not under any circumstance let me download .Net framework 3.5 to run the sn pro plus 7. Do I really have to buy the sn 8 to work with .net framework 4.7??

It worked on a windows 8 computer and now that I'm trying to put it on my personal brand new computer with windows 10, it wont let me. I'm even tried to run command prompt as admin and it wont let me download it.
I bought this computer so I'd have enough space on the computer harddrive to download the software and now it wont let me at all.
I have retrieved that download several time and everytime I go through the process, it gets to the final installation part and as soon as it says configuring windows features (.net framework 3.5 which I dont have) it rolls back everything I've done.

I go through the wizard to set up everything onto my computer. As it finally beings installing the software, the bar fills up with green showing progress, but as soon as it says configuring windows features, it waits for like 2 minutes with the bar completely empty until it says something happened. When I try to download the framework i get an error code 0x80070002.

The error occurs during the Configuring Windows features process. The installation ends prematurely.
The Starry Night installer is trying to turn on a Windows feature called .NET Framework 3.5.1.
Please follow this guide to enable it yourself,

I dont have the computer with me now, my dad took it to work with him (he works at an air force base) to see if maybe his younger tech savvy friends could help and he says were going to have to upgrade to the sn 8.
Okay but that's the thing, I've gone to that link and followed all the instructions and my computer refuses to download it. I already have .net framework 4.7. Why isnt it compatible with that?
I've tried restoring the files through the power shell and command prompt as admin and it wont download the files

I've even gone online to the Microsoft website to download the framework there and I still have the same problem of it refusing the download.

This kind of issue is outside the scope of support for Starry Night. These kinds of issues have to be taken up with a Geek Squad or similar service.
You will be happy to know that the next update for SN8 is going to drop the .NET 3.5 requirement.
So, at that time you will likely find success with the installer. But, I can not give you a definitive ETA on that next SN8 update.
Geek Squad certified Microsoft technicians can resolve your issue.
On another note, I think you Dad was smart to take the computer to the base, to see if one of his younger tech-savvy friends can resolve this for you.
