How Do I Turn On The H-R Diagram In SkySafari 6 Pro On macOS? (Answer: Settings > H-R Diagram)

The H-R Diagram shows as purchased for my Safari Pro 6 installs but I can't find where to turn on the feature so that I can see it.  Where do you turn it on?

Thanks.  Now, how do I change the size of the H-R window?  When select a border and try to drag it, it moves the underlying "sky" view.

No answer to my question.  I can adjust the H-R Diagram window on the iOS versions - but on macOS (I am running the latest Mojave releases), you can't adjust the window.  Trying to drag the boundaries just moves the underlying main window.  Is this a bug?

    Hi David,

Please make this an official feature request here:

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Help please!

I have just install the MacOS version since it is now supported on the Mac M1. I have Skysafari 6 Pro installed on an iPad without problem. However, I am struggling as the HR-Diagram does not appear under the settings drop down menu.    When I look in the 'In-App Purchases' it is listed showing a zero price, with the other extension databases showing Purchased. None of these respond to enable a download.  They are downloaded on the iPad....

    Thx!

Same here - it has been missing for a long time.  I think it is related to failures to apply the in-app purchases.  Restore purchases doesn't work.  There doesn't seem to be any maintenance being done on SkySafari on the Mac any more - all the work is on the iOS version.  I like the Mac better, but it isn't complete.

SS7 is now available on MacOS.  If you bought the SS7 for iOS you should see it for MacOS.

    Please try it.

    Thanks!

I only see SS Pro 6 in the App Store.  Why does buying SS7 of iOS (which I have done - it's running on my iPad now) have anything to do with "seeing" SS Pro 7 on the Mac?

SS7 is only supported on MacOS running M1/M2 Apple silicon chips.

I will look into it, I can't see SS7 in the Mac App Store either.

When you say SS7, do you include SS7 Pro?

    Yes, SS7 Pro.

Both my Macs are M1 systems (MBP16 and MacStudio Pro Max).  If you have the App Store set to filter on the Apple SOC, then it is not working.

I just downloaded 6 Pro for my mini.   HR was not there and going the same thing as described. I kept clicking 00.00 charge in the In-app Purchases and it gave a window to download it.  Works great. You may have to restart the program.

HR diagram will be available with SS7 on MacOS, and it is resizable.

    Chris,

    Hi Keiron,

Yes seen this for iPad/iPhones, but not yet for MacOS..., which I think is what we were discussing here...?

    Chris,

    Select for iPhone & iPad.

Buy it.  You won't be charged.

FYI, for everyone, do not drag the H-R diagram near the edge of the screen on either iOS or iPadOS.

It is possible to lose the diagram, and difficult to retrieve and reposition.

    Chris,

    Select for iPhone & iPad.

Buy it.  You won't be charged - IF YOU ALREADY BOUGHT IT FOR iOS/iPAD.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Keiron,

but I though the iPhone/iPad apps were different than the MacOS, or is it a single app now cross platform?

    Thanks again...

Keiron: Sky Safari Pro 7 doesn't show up in the App Store (when selecting the iPhone and iPad apps option). I did purchase SS7P for my iPad and just confirmed that it is installed and shows up as purchased in the iPad App Store.  You need to be really clear about how you have this set up - this is the MacOS option to run iOS applications.  There is no SkySafari 7 Pro for macOS - you are just running the iOS version, hence the requirement that the Mac be running the M1 or M2 SOCs.  I am assuming you have no plans to create a fully Mac version.  Is that correct?  The iPad version runs very nicely and is actually more responsive than the SS Pro 6 version I have on my Macs now.  But I would still like to see how it works on my macStudio and 27" Studio display.

Yes, this is the iOS/iPadOS version of SS7 running on MacOS M1/M2 chips.

    Enjoy!

I understand. But as I said in my post, Sky Safari Pro 7 DOES NOT SHOW UP under the iOS/iPadOS apps listing in the store.  I do own the iPad version 7, but it does not show up in the store.  Maybe that is an Apple problem, I don't know.  I have two Apple IDs and I have checked using both IDs.  It doesn't show up.

    David,

You must be logged into the Mac App Store using the same Apple ID used to make to iOS/iPadOS purchase.

If SS7 is not showing up you will have to consult Apple Support.
