How To Move Settings, Lists, Equipment, Etc From SkySafari Plus 6 Back To SkySafari Plus 5?

Dear Support team,

I have a mixture of Older and newer Android devices, one will only support SkySafari version 5, so I need to move files, list etc from 6 to 5.

So this there a way of moving setting, lists etc from SkySafari Plus 6 back to older hardware on SkySafari Plus 5?

All the best

If you connected to Live Sky with version 5 of Sky Safari. All your settings and lists should be available to you in Sky Safari 6. Make the connection to Live Sky with your new version and close out of SS6. When you relaunch they should be there with your new connections to Live Sky with the same ID and password online. WiFi is required to do this. For older versions see this link:

SkySafari 5 used Google drive and I don't believe allowed login to LiveSky. I'm not sure how you can take your settings from SS6 and go backwards to SS5.

I've looked into this a little more.  If you login to livesky.com, you should be able to go to Observing Lists and download the list as a skylist, which I'm guessing you could save down to an older version's file directory and open it up.  I haven't tested this, but it seems likely to work.  There is also a download option under the Settings Files page on LiveSky where you might be able to do the same thing.  The only thing that I'm almost sure WON'T work would be actual logged observations themselves, as the format for observations changed drastically in SS6 compared to previous versions.  I allso don't see a place to download equipment in LiveSky that you could move to SS5 or older.  Hope this helps!
