I just tried to duplicate this, and sure enough, I see this too!
Some kind of image clipping occurs at different points of the zoom depending on the current window size.
Mac OS 10.14.5. SkySafari Pro 6.4.0.
Also appears to be happening in the iOS version of SkySafari Pro 6.5.0.1.

This happens when zooming in on the moon as well. It occurs for five steps in or out.
