How Come Observing List Objects Are Shown With Secondary Designation Instead Of Primary Designation And Why Do Deleted Objects Reappear In Observing Lists? (Answer: Needs Path To Reproduction)

Hi,

I use Skysafari 6 Pro 6.5.0.1 on Ipad 2 Air (iOs 12.4).

Issue 1:

Example (it works with all objects): I type "M103" in the search field, go the object info page, from there I transfer the object to my observing list. In the observing list the object is shown as NGC 581 instead of Messier 103 (secondary designation instead the primary). This all happens at random. Sometimes I had to delete the object from the observing list once or twice or I need to reboot my iPad. After that it works as it should.

Another example, same procedure: search for kappa1 Bootis ---> shown as 17 Boo in the observing list.

Issue 2:

Incomplete deletion.

I delete one or several objects from an observing list. When finished, I press "End Edit". The objects disappear from the list as expected. Then I reboot my iPad, launch Skysafari and go the the observing list and - to my surprise - the before deleted objects are in the list again. After a second attempt it works.

Both issues occur at random, not every time.

Thank you

Walter

    Hi Walter,

Are you still encountering these issues?

Issue 1: I can not reproduce this issue.  We need steps to reproduce the issue, if possible.

Issue 2: This seems to be a LiveSky sync issue, that your deleted entry was not registered in LiveSky before the object was synced back into your list.  Again, steps to reproduce the issue, if possible.

If anyone else is running into this issue please let us know here.
