How Do I Delete My LiveSky Account Data? (Answer: Submit A Written Request - Read On!)

Love the app but, once again, have discovered that SkySafari 6 Plus turns ON cloud storage WITHOUT the user's permission!

I do not want my setting, preferences, observing lists, etc. stored anywhere but on my device.  I've turn this setting off before, but it seems the app keeps turning it back on (perhaps with each version update).

The default behavior needs to be changed.  You definitely should NOT be forcing users into cloud storage, especially without their permission.  You also should respect their current settings.  So, if someone has turned OFF Cloud Storage, it should remain off with each update.

The app even assigns me a Cloud Storage ID, though I never requested one.

Sorry to kvetch, but this type of invasion of privacy is bothersome.

Now, as to my question.

How do I delete whatever it is that you all have stored on your servers?

Thanks for listening and look forward to a response!

    Hi Larry,

Are you referring to LiveSky?  LiveSky is used to back up your SkySafari data, i.e. equipment, observing lists, FOVs, etc.  All your SkySafari data is automatically backed up to LiveSky, from where you can read and export your data at anytime.

LiveSky can then be used to restore your data and settings to SkySafari 6 or Starry Night 8 installed anywhere else, on any OS.

No personal info about your device is backed up to LiveSky.

If you want your LiveSky data and account deleted we can do that.  Please submit a written request to ksmith @ simcur.com

Thanks for your patience waiting for a reply.
