Why Does SkySafari Stop Downloading To My Phone After Only 15% Completion? (Answer: Likely, Downloading Over Data Usage Restriction)

cannot download Sky Safari, wifi too slow; can I download to computer and transfer to phone by USB?

I tried at home and at work, same result, after an hour I get to 15% downloaded and I see a message about waiting for wifi. If I wait longer it just stops, and offers a Download button. If I click that is tarts from scratch.

  Hi Jeff, 

  This sounds like it is related to your phone data usage restrictions when downloading over data.  There are settings in the phone to prevent large downloads over data.  Try turning data usage OFF, and connecting and downloading via WiFI ONLY.
